HI! Seeing Results

Good morning.

Boy, this P90X stuff really works. I do love the mix and muscle confusion it creates.

Swimming, biking, running, ellipting, P90Xing, are all going great.

I do have that goal to burn at least 1000 calories per day from exercise and training. So far, I'm pretty much on track. On January 1, I weighed 174 pounds. I was kind of surprised that my weight had crept up with all the exercise and training.

When the holidays were over I decided to become even more disciplined with my eating. No more tortilla chips, less cheese, etc. Continue to work out. I would limit myself to approx 2000 calories per day. It does not take long to hit 2000 calories and I was reminded of this as I progressed through the first day.

Well, I weighed myself today and the scale said 168.4 poonds. Not bad. My goal is to get down to around 155-160 pounds. I will just see how things go and decide where I need to be.

About 6 years ago I started my weight loss at 225 pounds. If I could get down to 155 that would equate to 70 pounds of fat gone. Watch out Bruce Lee.

This week I have run twice, a recovery 6 on Tuesday and 8 yesterday. I've thrown in a couple swims and bike sessions as well. The 6 miles on Tuesday were on the treadmill. Man, does time go slow when running a recovery run on the mill. I can do speed, hills and intervals on the treadmill and enjoy it. But, running at 9 pace is torturous.

Yesterday's run was my fastest of the year and I am planning back to back runs this weekend. I have not decided what tomorrow's run will be, but Sunday will be a long run of course.

" Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power we never dreamed ourselves to own, sources of strength never taxed at all because we never push through the obstruction."

* It takes courage to push yourself to places that you have never been before... to test your limits... to break through barriers. And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anais Nin
